The Sea of Cortez is home to an amazing diversity of marine life, yet it still remains relatively unexplored. For divers interested in marine biology, underwater photography or for those just seeking an adventurous experience, this is an exciting destination.
What really separates the diving near Los Cabos from other tropical scuba diving destinations are the sights you will witness through the remarkably clear waters. The Sea of Cortez is home to one of the few living coral reefs on the North American continent “Cabo Pulmo”. In addition to a spectrum of soft and hard corals and variegated sponges, you can witness an array of prismatic tropical fish. You may witness other exotic species, such as sea turtles, manta rays, reef sharks, moray eels, cctopi, and various crustaceans and mollusks.
Cabo San Lucas Scuba Diving
Diving near the famous Land’s End is easily accessible from Cabo San Lucas. The local dive sites are a 10-minute panga ride from the marina and it’s is ideal if you are traveling on a ship.
Divers get to see Lover’s Beach up close, and on surface intervals often the pangas drive around Land’s End, by the sea arch and to the sea lion colony.

If you’ve never tried scuba diving before and do not have the time to do a full blown course, why not try diving on one of our day trips?
Introductory diving requires no previous diving experience. If you are able to swim, you can usually dive. The only requirement is that you are 10 years old or more and you will be asked to fill out some paperwork, including a medical statement.
You will go to a maximum depth of 12m (40ft) and the dives generally last around 1/2 hour.
You will be given a briefing outlining what is involved, This briefing will outline the procedures that will make your experience a safe and unforgettable one. Once you understand all this you will have to practice the skills to gain confidence. Once you are comfortable with those skills, it’s time to dive and enjoy.
The supervision by our highly qualified dive instructors is very close all times, there will be a maximum of 4 divers with 1 instructor.

I had a great experience with Arturo. I’d never been diving before, and I felt completely comfortable diving with him. I learned the skills I needed and then we went diving with some sea lions! It was such a cool experience and it was so great to have such a capable diver take me out for the first time.
My friend Sarah and I were luckily given Arturo’s name by Veronica, our host at Baja Bungalows. We had wanted to go diving and wanted an authentic experience. Arturo was very accommodating in finding a time and day that worked for us. My friend Sarah had never dived and took the learn to dive in a couple hours course. Arturo was very patient and went through all of the skills with Sarah until she felt comfortable. Fortunately, she was a rock star right from the get-go which allowed for us to go on two very long dives. The highlight of the trip was swimming with sea lions…SO COOL! We will definitely be contacting Arturo again if back in Cabo Pulmo!!
