Rural & Hiking Expedition
Granted, a visit to the cave paintings of San Dionisio is not the easiest thing to accomplish, but the reward is certainly worth the effort. There are cave paintings and rock art in many locations in Baja. Some locations are relatively easy to get to and others are more difficult. Originally, the paintings were thought to be somewhere around 2,000 years old. Recent carbon dating tests have suggested that some of the paintings may have been painted as many as 7,500 years ago.
La Poza Oscura (The Dark Pool) adventure is quite a feat. You have to climb giant rocks and journey through the mountains to reach this Baja California Sur wonder that is 50 feet deep and can purify your spirit by jumping in it's refreshing, calm waters.

Joplasia1989, Courtenay, CA: Arturo lead us on a hiking trip into the mountains at San Dionisio for 3 days. We swam in gorgeous streams and ate delicious food from the organic farm.
Athena N., Atlanta, GA: We hiked and swam for hours in this beautiful oasis amongst the desert! I HIGHLY recommend doing a hike (or a dive) with Arturo! He's a rock star!
